Compensation information for accountants is scattered, inconsistent, and too often presented with a confidence the underlying data cannot support. SalaryCPA was built to fix that: to publish pay benchmarks that a working CPA, a hiring manager, or a journalist can rely on — because the provenance of every number is visible.

We treat this as a data-trust product first and a website second. Credibility is the entire value proposition, so our standards are deliberately conservative: we would rather withhold a figure than publish one we cannot stand behind.

Every wage figure we publish carries its lineage: the source, the source year, and whether it is a direct measurement or a modeled estimate. We never present a guessed or fabricated number as a verified fact, and we never let advertising move a figure.

SalaryCPA is an independent compensation-intelligence publication that launched in 2026. We are not affiliated with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the AICPA, any state board of accountancy, or any employer whose pay we describe. Our benchmarks are derived from public federal data and moderated submissions only — no advertiser can purchase a better number, a higher ranking, or an exception to our disclosure rules.
